تتابع الولايات المتحدة عن كثب التطورات في حيي الأشرفية والشيخ مقصود في حلب بقلق بالغ. ونحث جميع الأطراف على ممارسة أقصى درجات ضبط النفس، ووضع حماية أرواح المدنيين وممتلكاتهم فوق كل اعتبار.
خلال الأشهر الثلاثة عشر الماضية، حققت سوريا خطوات تاريخية نحو الاستقرار والمصالحة الوطنية وإعادة الإعمار بعد عقود من الصراع المدمر. وتُمثل المحادثات التاريخية التي جرت هذا الأسبوع مع ممثلين إسرائيليين خطوة محورية نحو سلام إقليمي أوسع، مؤكدةً التزام سوريا الراسخ بإنهاء دوامة العنف والمعاناة والفظائع التي ابتليت بها البلاد لأكثر من نصف قرن.
لا يمكن تحقيق تحولات جذرية من هذا النوع بين عشية وضحاها. فالجراح العميقة التي خلّفها الصراع الطويل تحتاج إلى وقت لتلتئم، ويتطلب التقدم المستدام الصبر والتسامح والتفاهم المتبادل الحقيقي بين جميع شرائح المجتمع السوري. ومع ذلك، نبقى ثابتين على رؤيتنا لسوريا التي تضمن الاندماج الكامل والمساواة في الحقوق لجميع المواطنين، من السنة والأكراد والدروز والمسيحيين والعلويين وجميع الطوائف الأخرى، دون استثناء.
في الأسبوع الماضي فقط، كنا على وشك إبرام اتفاقية التكامل بين قوات سوريا الديمقراطية والحكومة السورية، والمقررة في 10 مارس/آذار 2025، وهي اتفاقية من شأنها أن تُعزز بشكل كبير التنسيق الأمني والحوكمة المشتركة والوحدة الوطنية. ولا يزال هذا الهدف قابلاً للتحقيق تماماً.
إننا، جنباً إلى جنب مع حلفائنا وشركائنا الإقليميين المسؤولين، على استعداد لتسهيل الجهود الرامية إلى تهدئة التوترات ومنح سوريا وشعبها فرصة متجددة لاختيار طريق الحوار بدلاً من الانقسام.
لذا، نوجه نداءً عاجلاً إلى قيادة الحكومة السورية، وقوات سوريا الديمقراطية، والسلطات المحلية في المناطق الخاضعة للإدارة الكردية، وجميع الأطراف المسلحة على الأرض: أوقفوا الأعمال العدائية، وخففوا التوترات فوراً، والتزموا بتهدئة الوضع. لنجعل تبادل الأفكار والمقترحات البناءة أولوية على تبادل إطلاق النار. إن مستقبل حلب، وسوريا بأكملها، ملك لشعبها، ويجب أن يُصاغ بالوسائل السلمية، لا بالعنف.
في هذه المرحلة الحاسمة، يجب على المنطقة أن تتكاتف في وجه القوى الخارجية المزعزعة للاستقرار ووكلائها الذين يسعون إلى تقويض التقدم الملحوظ الذي تحقق خلال العام الماضي، وإلى إضعاف الإرث الدائم لمبادرات الرئيس الأمريكي للسلام في الشرق الأوسط. هدفهم هو تجديد حالة عدم الاستقرار؛ أما هدفنا فهو سلام دائم قائم على الاحترام المتبادل والازدهار المشترك.
إن الفصل الجديد في تاريخ سوريا هو فصل التعاون، لا المواجهة. وسنصل إليه معاً."

"The United States is closely following developments in the Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo with grave concern. We urge all parties to exercise the utmost restraint and to place the protection of civilian lives and property above all other considerations.
Over the past thirteen months, Syria has made historic strides toward stability, national reconciliation, and reconstruction following decades of devastating conflict. The landmark discussions held this week with Israeli representatives mark a pivotal step toward broader regional peace, underscoring Syria’s resolute commitment to breaking the cycle of violence, suffering, and atrocity that has afflicted their nation for more than half a century.
Profound transformations of this nature cannot be achieved overnight. The deep scars of prolonged conflict require time to heal, and enduring progress demands patience, tolerance, and genuine mutual understanding across all segments of Syrian society. Nonetheless, we remain steadfast in the vision of a Syria that ensures full inclusion and equal rights for every citizen—Sunni, Kurd, Druze, Christian, Alawite, and all other communities—without exception.
Just this past week, we stood on the threshold of successfully concluding the March 10, 2025 integration agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government—an accord that would significantly advance security coordination, shared governance, and national unity. That objective remains eminently achievable.
Together with our allies and responsible regional partners, we stand ready to facilitate efforts to de-escalate tensions and to afford Syria and its people a renewed opportunity to choose the path of dialogue over division.
We therefore issue an urgent appeal to the leadership of the Syrian government, SDF, local authorities in Kurdish-administered areas, and all armed actors on the ground: pause hostilities, reduce tensions immediately, and commit to de-escalation. Let us prioritize the exchange of ideas and constructive proposals over the exchange of fire. The future of Aleppo, and of Syria as a whole, belongs to its people and must be shaped through peaceful means, not violence.
At this critical juncture, the region must stand united against disruptive external forces and their proxies that seek to undermine the remarkable progress achieved in the past year and to erode the enduring legacy of

’s Middle East peace initiatives. Their aim is renewed instability; ours is lasting peace grounded in mutual respect and shared prosperity.
Syria’s new chapter is one of cooperation, not confrontation. We will reach it together."
